The thesis aims to determine which forms of cooperation with families of elderly people are used by selected retirement homes in the South-Bohemian Region, and to specify the forms of cooperation in terms of efficiency, perspectives and current options implemented by retirement homes. The sectional goals of this thesis are to determine whether the retirement homes consider the cooperation with the families of elderly people as important for the purposes of providing comprehensive care and whether the elderly people are satisfied with the manner in which the institution cooperates with their family. The quantitative manner of research was used for the purposes of implementing the survey, while being performed via questionnaire surveys in selected retirement homes in the South-Bohemian Region.
